Helping the women of DR Congo is a huge part of my life. My 8 year old Congolese daughters birth mother was raped and murdered by the FDLR, so this is a cause that hits very close to home. We MUST raise awareness to the horrible acts that are taking place in Congo. We Must be a voice for those that have been silenced.

It's been a year, I think we need to update some things. How is everything over there ? We are doing okay, facing many situations but we will make it through. Be blessed.

I'm thinking like you and hope to see the FDLR pay for their murders.

It has been five years since I participated in the production of VM on my college campus. I have very close friends that are victims of violence, but am nowhere near as close to the horror as you and your girls are. May God bless you and purge their memories of violence while preserving good ones of their mother.

It was a real pleasure to meet you at the rally in Washington DC January 17. Thank you also for making my little sister your daughter. It makes you my mother. Thank you Mom.

Many Blessings to you and your daughter. Raising awareness about the violence in the Congo is one of the greatest things I can do with my life. I feel I must use my voice for those who need it most.

As the violence in the Eastern DRC continues, your support & your voice are critical. Hundreds of thousands of women and girls have been raped, and thousands more are at risk every day.

SHOW YOUR SUPPORT , let the women of the Congo hear you, speak out against this violence, send your message of hope, empowerment, change and victory.

CHANGING THE STORY
Join V-Day’s global campaign STOP RAPING OUR GREATEST RESOURCE: POWER TO THE WOMEN AND GIRLS OF DRC and bring much needed attention to the needs of Congolese women and girls.

The atrocities being perpetrated against women and girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo are nothing less than a femicide.
