Dear sisters of the DRC,
I stand by your side in this fight. Don't feel like you are alone because my heart and energy is with you. I will fight for you and with you. You are not alone!
I will use my voice to let people know what you have gone through. The road behind you was tough but the future could be bright. Don't let the pain of the past stop you. We have the power to make our communities and eventually the world a better place for our daughters, grandaughters and all the women to come. Show your protest in the form of Love.
I love you my sister of the DRC,
Cynthia R.

my Love...

The most violent episodes of my life have shaped the most tender part of my core,
Penetrated the deepest and most sensitive part of my heart,
Murder my faith and hope,
They shadowed my light but in darkness I found truth
They ripped my flesh but strenghthened my sould to become who I am
a sign of protest,
a silent protest in the form of Love.

As the violence in the Eastern DRC continues, your support & your voice are critical. Hundreds of thousands of women and girls have been raped, and thousands more are at risk every day.

SHOW YOUR SUPPORT , let the women of the Congo hear you, speak out against this violence, send your message of hope, empowerment, change and victory.

CHANGING THE STORY
Join V-Day’s global campaign STOP RAPING OUR GREATEST RESOURCE: POWER TO THE WOMEN AND GIRLS OF DRC and bring much needed attention to the needs of Congolese women and girls.

The atrocities being perpetrated against women and girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo are nothing less than a femicide.
